Fantasia (1940) showcased an innovative approach to animation that seamlessly blended music and images. The classical music of the score served as inspiration for animated sequences which ranged from story-driven to abstract and experimental. In celebration of the film’s 80th anniversary, join us to experiment creating a musically-inspired piece of art. Use color theory, shapes, lines, and patterns to represent the mood of a piece of music in an abstract painting.
