The work of Walt Disney Studios artist Mary Blair continues to inspire artists and storytellers today, as evidenced by the recently released children’s book, Pocket Full of Colors: The Magical World of Mary Blair, Disney Artist Extraordinaire. In this special family-friendly event, join illustrator Brigette Barrager for a reading of Pocket Full of Colors, learn all about Mary Blair, and hear how Barrager created her whimsical illustrations in Mary Blair’s unique style. The reading will be followed by a Q&A and book signing with Barrager. Pocket Full of Colors will be available for purchase at the Museum Store.

Please note, this is a program intended for children—adults are not permitted to this program without children and children are not permitted without adults. The program is free for children eight and under and requires a reserved ticket which is available when checking out for paid tickets.

Visitors of all ages are welcome to attend a companion talk program, Pocket Full of Colors: An Illustrator’s Dive into the World of Mary Blair.
