On February 14, 2013 from 7 to 10pm, The Walt Disney Family Museum presents Animate Your Night: Some Day My Prince Will Come—a Museum-wide Valentine’s Day soiree. Be our Valentine at a special love-laden Animate Your Night after-hours party! Join us for an evening of adoration, animation, and inspiration. Experience the galleries in a whole new light and search for love with a special Valentine scavenger hunt. Illuminate your heart with Disney love-themed shorts on the big screen, and sip our signature cocktail—the Prince Charming.

On Wednesday, December 5 from 10am to 8pm, The Walt Disney Family Museum will offer FREE admission and extended hours in honor of Walt’s birthday thanks to generous funding from PG&E. The Museum will also host special programming, film screenings, and hands-on art activities, throughout the galleries all day long. Happy birthday Walt!

Celebrate our new exhibition Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Creation of a Classic throughout November with Snow White related screenings programing, activities, classes, and more!

The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to present the special exhibition Between Frames: The Magic Behind Stop Motion Animation, on view from September 27, 2012 to April 28, 2013. Curated by WDFM Registrar and Curatorial Assistant Anel Muller, the exhibition explores the evolution of stop motion animation in the United States--especially in special effects, television, and film--while examining some of the key milestones and innovators. 

Animal lovers rejoice! Our furry friends will be in the spotlight all throughout September at The Walt Disney Family Museum, where we will be screening the classic Disney live-action film Old Yeller daily.
