The Walt Disney Family Museum was fortunate to be the subject of two new bonus features in Disney Home Entertainment's newest DVD/Blu-ray release of Fantasia, a film that's still regarded as one of Walt Disney's greatest achievements!
In the first featurette, Diane Disney Miller takes audiences on an intimate tour through our museum as you hear personal interviews from Diane, Walter E.D. Miller and our museum's executive director Richard Benefield, about Walt, his legacy, the origins of this cultural institution and the evolution of The Walt Disney Family Museum. The second feature focuses more on special effects and "The Schultheis Notebook"--an unbelievable journal created (extensively by hand) by Herman Schultheis--one of the Walt Disney Studios' leading camera technicians. Hear about the secrets that went on to create the special effects on some of your favorite Disney films. The DVD/Blu-ray combo pack for Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 will be available next week, November 30th.
