COMING UP! Behind the Scenes on "Treasure Island" with Harrison Ellenshaw, which will take place in our Theater this Saturday, October 9 at 3PM. In the late 1940s, Walt Disney approached Peter Ellenshaw to work on the studio's first live-action feature, Treasure Island. Thus began a professional collaboration and friendship, which lasted over 30 years and 34 films. Learn from Peter's son, Harrison, how his father recreated scenes of England with matte paintings, and also what it was like to work with Walt!

Tickets can be purchased online at www.waltdisney.org. But of course, we want to reward our fans, so "LIKE" The Walt Disney Family Museum on Facebook to learn how to win a pair of tickets to the October 9 event!

Public Programs at The Walt Disney Family Museum offer a chance to learn about Walt Disney by providing guests with the opportunity to hear from Disney legends and luminaries, animation historians and authors, and a variety of other incredible storytellers and artists. Guests participate in conversations and discussions, film and food events, and a plethora of dynamic programs that initiate learning and foster a sense of community.

Past programs include, Memories of Walt: A Conversation with Legends with Blaine Gibson, Richard Sherman, and Rolly Crump;Innovations in Audio Animatronics with Bob Gurr; The Creation of Darby O’Gill and the Little People with Don Iwerks, Harrison Ellenshaw, and Lee Tope, among many others.
