Open Studio Preview: DIY Attraction Design with Ruben Raygoza

Posted on Wed, 07/03/2013 - 15:30

Have you ever dreamed of designing your own theme park attraction? Come join us Saturday and Sunday, July 6-7 and 13-14 in the Learning Center for activities celebrating Disneyland’s birth month.

Join local high school student, museum volunteer, and aspiring creative designer Ruben Raygoza to invent your own theme park attraction. Whether you just want to illustrate your concept or create a multilayer model, we invite you to put yourself in the shoes of a theme park designer to create a 3D storytelling experience. Using ink, paint, and transparencies—the same skills used for cel painting— plumb the depths of your imagination to create a multi-layered scenic diorama. This not-to-be-missed activity is suitable for beginners of all ages.

Open Studio is a drop-in program that occurs during the first and second Saturday and Sunday of every month from 1-4pm. It’s free with museum admission, so come on by!
