Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Deep Dive (February 2021)

Purchase The Fairest One of All by Disney Historian and author JB Kaufman. This book is an in-depth documentation of the making of Walt Disney's first feature-length animated film: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This book won the award for Best Animation Book at the 2012 A113 Animation Awards and features never-before-published facts and art.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Creation of a Classic featured more than 200 works of art including conceptual drawings, early character studies, detailed story sketches, and animation drawings. Also featured were delicate thumbnail layout watercolors, meticulously rendered pencil layouts, rare watercolor backgrounds, colorful cels, and vintage posters all illustrating how Walt Disney advanced the creation of an entirely new art form. 

Of all the countless stories and anecdotes about Walt Disney, one of the most iconic and oft-recounted by those who knew him was of the fateful evening in the mid-1930s when Walt assembled his core group of artists in the sound stage at the Disney studio on Hyperion Avenue. There, without aid or introduction, Walt single-handedly performed the story of what would become Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
