Each month, we ask a Museum staffer to answer five questions about their position at the Museum, their fondest Disney memories, and personal tidbits. This is the fifth in our series titled "What Do YOU Do?" and this month, we're highlighting Rosalind Cohen-Baruch!

What is your title and what do YOU do here at The Walt Disney Family Museum?

I am the Director of Human Resources. My job is to balance the needs of the museum with the best interests of the employees.

What is your fondest Disney memory OR what is your favorite gallery at The Walt Disney Family Museum and why?

Oddly enough, my favorite gallery is Gallery 10. I read these different telegrams, look at the cartoons, and I am in awe of who Walt Disney was and the love, emotion and happiness he brought to so many people. It gives me chills, and makes me happy and sad at the same time.

How does your job communicate and interpret the legacy of Walt Disney?

Walt truly believed that it is the people who help make a successful organization. As he is quoted – “You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world…but it requires people to make the dream a reality.” By helping to bring honest, competent, hardworking people to work at The Walt Disney Family Museum, I am able to help “make the dream a reality.”

Walt also believed that it is through a combined effort of many that we are successful. In my role, I try to foster an environment where there is an appreciation and respect for the work done and the individuals who achieve the goal. By doing so, we are able to provide an experience for our guests that is worthy of the Disney name.

Describe your workspace OR your favorite item on your desk:

My favorite items are the pictures of my family. It keeps me grounded and reminds me of what is important.

Tell us a little known fact about you!

I enjoy singing, and one year for my birthday, my husband surprised me with a trip to a recording studio, where I cut an album.
