This month, we are harkening back to Walt’s humble beginnings—well before Mickey Mouse became a star—and comparing those humble beginnings to The Walt Disney Company’s contemporary cartoon offerings. Walt began his foray into the world of animation with his first business, Laugh-O-gram Studios, in 1921. His interest in fairytales first took shape in his earliest animated films, such as Little Red Riding Hood (1922), Beauty and the Beast (1922), and Cinderella (1922), several of which have managed to survive nearly a century after they were created. Join us for a special showing of one of Walt’s favorite fairytales, Cinderella—but as you have (likely) never seen it before: first, enjoy 1922’s Cinderella from Laugh-O-gram, followed by the classic feature, Cinderella, from 1950, and, in doing so, witness the leaps and bounds Walt made in just 28 years.

Runtime: 85 minutes
