“Bah Humbug!” Despite ghosts being heavily associated with the Halloween season, there is a wonderful history of ghouls bringing holiday delight during the wintertime as well! Cozy up as we celebrate Charles Dickens’ classic story A Christmas Carol (1843) and the 15th anniversary of Disney’s 2009 computer-animated adaptation. In this Studio Series, we explore the history of the novella, Disney’s A Christmas Carol, and animated examples—past, present, and future—of characters using unique devices to help them light the way. Then, with 2D animation techniques, you will animate your own character holding a candlestick amidst the darkness.
