Exception: No class on Apr 21.
From a young age, Walt Disney was interested in comics and sequential art. At McKinley High School, he drew comics for the school’s magazine, The Voice. In this eight-week course, we will explore where comics come from, and what makes this form of visual storytelling unique. Students will use techniques such as gesture and silhouette, page layout, and story pacing to design their own short comic from start to finish.
All materials will be provided for students by the instructor. Students are encouraged to have a sketchbook of their own for drawing outside of class.
