Our digital archivist, Lynn Zook, is on the scene at the TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood this week and filed this report about Wednesday's events.
Although the TCM Classic Film Festival does not officially begin until Thursday afternoon, the festival's headquarters at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel was abuzz with activity on Wednesday afternoon.
An interview stage was set up in the far corner of the venerable hotel's lobby where, much to delight of classic film fans, TCM host Robert Osborne interviewed various Festival attendees, such as Barbara Rush, "the legendary Mickey Rooney" (as the staff refers to him)—and Diane Disney Miller!
Diane spoke briefly with Robert about her dad and his films.
TCM will begin airing these short interviews on Thursday afternoon, April 28th. Diane's interview is scheduled to follow the broadcast ofAlfred Hitchcock's mid-century modern masterpiece, North by Northwest (April 28th at approximately 11:15 p.m. PST).
