The production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs put the Story Department at the center of the production process. Every aspect of the feature film’s creation was approached with the question: how can this help tell the most engaging story possible?
The education department at The Walt Disney Faily Museum created a special Story Studio activity in honor of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Creation of a Classic. In the final week of our first major special exhibition, we invite you to explore this show through the lens of a particular stage of animated film production. Each one of these four mini-guides references specific works in the exhibition and prompts the viewer to think about the various considerations an artist working in that department might think about. Walk the galleries from the unique point of view that comes with being a concept artist, character designer, animator, or layout artist.
