About the Speaker
Gregory V. Sherman is an Emmy Award®-winning writer, producer, composer and director. Gregory co-wrote, directed, and produced The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story (2009)—Disney’s feature-length documentary on his father and uncle, Academy Award®-winning composers, the Sherman brothers.
In his television career that spans five decades, Sherman has written, composed, and produced over 5,000 hours of television. Sherman's shows include the multiple-time Emmy-winning game shows Win Ben Stein's Money (1997–2003) on Comedy Central, Sports Geniuses (2000) on Fox Sports, Debt (1996–1998) on Lifetime, and The Chair (2002) on ABC. His sitcom credits include Boston Common (1996–1997) on NBC, Billy (1992) on NBC, and Tall Hopes (1993) on CBS.
In 2023, Gregg teamed up with his cousin Jeff Sherman and former president of Walt Disney Music Mitchell Leib to create Sherman Brothers & Sons, a company dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving the legacy of the Sherman family. Their first projects for The Walt Disney Studios will air globally on ABC and Disney+ later this year, with two more projects slated for release in 2024.
Sherman holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his proudest accomplishments are his tremendously talented sons, ages 29 and 22.
