About the Speaker

Dave Reynolds was one of the original writers on Late Night with Conan O'Brien (1993–2009). After more than 400 shows, he moved to Los Angeles and began working on Tarzan® (1999) for Walt Disney Feature Animation. In 1995, Disney execs introduced him to a little-known animation studio named Pixar Animation Studios—Toy Story (1995) would be released later that year—who hired him to help develop their second feature, A Bug's Life (1998).

For the next six years, he worked on several Disney Animation and Pixar features in production. Including writing the screenplay for The Emperor's New Groove (2000) and co-writing Finding Nemo (2003). He was nominated for an Academy Award® and BAFTA® for Best Original Screenplay for Finding Nemo, as well as a BAFTA for The Emperor’s New Groove.

Help Us Continue Our Digital Efforts

Since opening over 10 years ago, we have sought to make the museum a place where our guests could find animation, innovation, and inspiration and immerse themselves in the remarkable life story of Walt Disney—the man who raised animation to an art, tirelessly pursued innovation, and created a distinctly American legacy, transforming the entertainment world.

Over the course of our closure, we have increased our digital presence to stay true to our mission. Your donations ensure that we can continue opening our museum virtually to the world, and that future generations can continue to be inspired by Walt Disney’s life and legacy.
