Transformations is a juried exhibition featuring the dynamic work of artists from three of the Bay Area’s distinguished programs for artists with disabilities: Abilities United, The Arc San Francisco, and NIAD Art Center.
Responding to Pinocchio’s metamorphosis from wooden puppet to real boy, featured artists work in a variety of media to represent personal as well as universal transformations. Seasons change, people age, and emotions are in flux.
The exhibition is first in a series inspired by the vision of The Walt Disney Family Museum’s founder, Diane Disney Miller, who championed arts access as a vital component of the museum’s commitment to community engagement. This exhibition will be on view in the lower lobby.
