During the 1920s and early 1930s, rubber-hose characters became a staple in animation. With exaggerated flexibility and rubbery limbs, this style of animation was not only a time-saver for animators, but it gave this era an iconic look. From cinematic characters to video games like Cuphead (2017), join us as we explore the rise, fall, and revival of rubber-hose animation, then design your own unique rubber-hose character using gesture and silhouette.
