This year, in honor of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary, we will be making multiple stops around the Resort and delving into its history. Our next stop is Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is populated by various species of animals and plant life, and all manner of natural adventures. Wilderness Explorers—an interactive game inspired by Disney and Pixar’s UP (2009)—challenges participants to learn about conservation and preservation to earn unique Wilderness Explorer badges. Take a journey with us as we look at Walt’s work involving the natural world and the history of badge icons, symbols, and design elements. Then take on a new challenge and create and stitch your very own wildlife badge.

Tickets for Virtual Pop-Up Studio | Wilderness Merit Badge are available as follows:
- Walt’s Circle Donors: Purchase tickets beginning Wednesday, May 12 at noon by emailing membership@wdfmuseum.org
- Supporter and Friend-level members: Purchase tickets beginning Thursday, May 13 at noon by emailing membership@wdfmuseum.org
- All member levels: Purchase tickets online beginning Friday, May 14 at noon
- Public (non-members): Remaining tickets available online or at the Ticket Desk beginning Monday, May 17 at noon
