(no class Jul 4, half-day Jul 11)
A hero comes in many shapes and forms. Join us as we take a leap into what it means being a woman in animation. Students will study narrative structure, fairy tales, writing tropes, and identifying stereotypes in animated films. From there, this class will teach you how to design a female lead character from the conceptual stage to a full 3D maquette.
Additional Class Details
This summer class is for young women and individuals who self-identify as young women.
Students will not be animating in this drawing-focused course.
Please note: The last day of class will be a half day (9am–noon). Parents and family are invited to join us at noon to visit the classroom and view student work from the two-week session.
