“This town ain’t big enough for the both of us…” does not apply to this Class! Saddle up and reach for the sky as we honor the 70th anniversary of Disneyland park. We will go behind the scenes of how Frontierland came to be and teach how to animate aspects of the Old West using digital 2D animation tools and techniques.

Additional Class Details

Students will learn the basics of 2D animation using digital software. This class is intended for beginners. No previous animation experience is required. 

Please note: The last day of class will be a half day (9am–noon). Parents and family are invited to join us at noon to visit the classroom and view student work from the two-week session.

  • Walt’s Circle Donors: Purchase tickets beginning Tuesday, February 18 at noon PST by emailing membership@wdfmuseum.org.
  • Supporter, Founding, and Friend-level members: Purchase tickets beginning Wednesday, February 19 at noon PST by emailing membership@wdfmuseum.org.
  • All member levels: Purchase tickets beginning Thursday, February 20 at noon PST via the Member Portal.
  • Public (non-members): Purchase tickets beginning Friday, February 21 at noon PST via the Studio ticketing page.

Scholarship Information

To ensure that all students have the opportunity to take classes at The Walt Disney Family Museum, we are pleased to offer scholarships to qualifying families and students of all ages. How to apply:

  • Send an email to studio@wdfmuseum.org with the subject line “Summer Scholarship Information 2025” by April 4, 2025.
  • Include the student’s name and age, a parent/guardian’s name (if applicable), and the class name and dates.
